Internal Change Management - Training & Artifact
Established a new creative workflow for a growing design team and onboarded internal clients to the new process. To reinforce the process for current and new employees, I initiated the creation of a poster to be distributed internally. Responsibilities included writing the copy, communicating the objective to a designer, and testing the draft design and copy with a few users before finalizing. The poster was designed as 11x17 so it could be printed in-house as needed.

Donor Communication - Sticker Postcard
Prior to the pandemic, Jubilee had a presence in the community in partnership with local events, small businesses, and eateries. We would set up a booth with information about our program and ways to get involved, and give away various swag items including stickers. When the pandemic shut down our community events, I pitched the idea of a sticker postcard as a way to thank Jubilee supporters while still giving them an artifact of their support.

Fundraising Campaign Messaging
Developed “She’s On Her Way” as a general donor campaign theme for Jubilee Women’s Center. Elements included a website header image, emails to donors, a follow-up postcard (pictured), and social media.
In alignment with Jubilee brand messaging, “She’s On Her Way” positions program residents as empowered and leading their own progress through the program. Donors are positioned as supporters, not saviors.
This approach was intentional and distinct from classic nonprofit fundraising messaging which typically creates a wide power gap between the donor and the receiver. As a development team, we continually evaluated our own messaging to ensure we didn’t perpetuate this power gap.
Additionally, the “She’s On Her Way” campaign was developed with longevity and versatility in mind. When applied to specific areas of Jubilee’s program, the message could adjust accordingly for focused campaigns. For instance, “She’s On Her Way to a College Education,” or “She’s On Her Way to a New Career.”
